So much content that you shouldn’t get bored in the Borderlands.
With recent visits to Gamescom and now PAX West, Gearbox has been dropping the info bombs for Borderlands 3’s imminent arrival. Players of the previous Borderlands will, of course, have an idea of what is lying ahead, but is there anything different about the endgame? How big is the campaign? And, what’s the ongoing support going to entail?
Well, to start, Gearbox is promising the biggest campaign so far, with the story taking place over multiple planetary locations featuring fan favourite characters as well as new additions to the fold. And once the campaign is complete there is even more to do as Borderlands opens up into its final form.
There will be a return of the True Vault Hunter Mode, Guardian Rank, (which is an evolution of Borderlands 2’s Badass Rank mechanic) and the first appearance of the new Mayhem Mode. Also, the first round of DLC was announced with some seasonal events, a takedown, and additional campaign stories.
Borderlands 3 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13.
