Two tech tests planned before launch.
Gears 5 will arrive on September 10 and will be included with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. A handful of tech tests in July and August are planned before the game releases.
We also got a new trailer showing off, well, lots of monsters being shot, and one monster punching a lady in what’s one of five new game modes for the upcoming title. The trailer showed off the new “Escape” mode, which pits three co-op players against enemy hives from the inside — so, I suppose you could call it an… inside job? sorry.
The takeaway message from the trailer is, essentially, expect lots of shooting and general violence, though the Microsoft conference did also note that Gears 5 will have the largest campaign in a Gears title yet.
