All the news, all in one place.
It’s that time of the week again, and I’ve got another news roundup for you with a myriad of stuff to cover: Baldur’s Gate 3, Pokémon Sword and Shield’s release date, and Amazon leaks confirming Watch Dogs Legion. So sit down and have a read over your Saturday breakfast, because there’s a lot to catch up on.
Out of nowhere: Baldur’s Gate 3.
In a new trailer that’s only just recently dropped, it’s been confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will definitely make its way to us. Though it’s only a small announcement trailer giving us a teaser of what’s to come, putting huge emphasis on player freedom and is being sold as “Larian’s biggest game ever.” No release date yet, but since it’s part of Google Stadia, we should get it by November.
Pokémon Sword and Shield has an official release date.
It’s another November release, but my god, it’s a big one – November 15 will see Pokémon Sword and Shield launch worldwide. Announced during the Pokémon Direct this week, it also dropped a new trailer and details of the Dynamax feature, as well as updates on gyms, exploring the Wild Area, and Max Raid battles, along with an in depth look at the new characters. Between this and Detective Pikachu, it’s been a great year for Nintendo.
Watch Dogs Legion is coming our way.
Confirmed on Twitter via a new trailer earlier this week, there’s not a huge lot of info yet. The Watch Dogs Twitter account changed to “Watch Dogs Legion,” and a tweet went out, simply reading “God Save the NPCs.” We’re not entirely sure what this means, but it might be confirming the Kotaku reports that every character in the third Watch Dogs game will be playable. Watch this space for more news as it appears.
Things are getting chilly in the new Monster Hunter World.
New story, new areas, and new monsters will be coming your way, and you’ll see a ton of it in the new trailer for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Of course, more details are coming at E3, but if you want to take a trip to Hoarfrost Reach, give the trailer a watch, and get the hype train running.
And finally, here’s what’s been happening around GGS this week:
- Sarah updated us all with her usual What-We’re-Playing-Wednesday post.
- Jay has published a handy dandy E3 schedule guide, in case you’re not up to speed yet.
