Pure bloods.

The latest trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is all about the Ventrue clan, which will be returning from the first vamparific outing and bringing a certain air of elitism about them (what am I saying, it’s their whole thing).

The Ventrue operate among the high classes of society, this used to be having a chin-wag with king and the aristocracy but times have changed and now the upper-crust vampires are schmoosing bankers and corporate lynchpins.

This puppet master vibe the Venture give off is reflected in their abilities in the game as well, with the vamps able to send NPCs into a hypnotic state using Mesmerise, making them unaware of anything going on around them. This ability can be buffed further with the Venture’s Command ability which allows you to used hypnotised people as weapons in the game.

There are also a couple of defensive buffs for the Ventrue with an absorb ability which lets you soak up attacks and being healed for every strike that would cause damage, while the Personal Armour ability gives them an extra barrier of defence.

There’s no specific date for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 yet but it’s being rumoured for a release in March 2020.
