Dontnod and Square Enix have set the date for the second episode of Life is Strange 2, with the release date set for January 29. Along with the announcement, a live action trailer the recreates on of the moments from the upcoming episode. The opening episode of Life is Strange 2 , which sees new characters Daniel and Sean taking to the road after their dad gets a bit shot, was praised by both critics and fans when it released back in September.
So yeah, the big news is that – finally – we have a date for the next episode of Life is Strange 2. The episode, apparently entitled “Rules†arrives on January 29 and we also got a live-action trailer that shows off a little of what you can expect. The trailer seemingly picks up immediately after the events of Episode One, with Sean and Daniel holding up in a motel room as they prepare for their journey to Mexico. Young Daniel is seen watching a bit of the news, finding out that his dad is indeed dead, and having a bit of a telekinetic tantrum. Sean then bursts in to calm him down and the two hug it out. Brothers, am I right?
Apart from Daniel finding out about his father’s death, we don’t really know what to expect from the second episode. Though the title – Rules – suggests there may very well be a motif of Sean and Daniel figuring out ways of keeping Sean’s powers subdued or at least seeting boundaries for who they speak to or where they go whilst on their journey.
Life is Strange Episode Two will arrive for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 29. If you still haven’t picked the game up then you can get the season pass for £33/$40.
