But is it Red-dy for everyone?
Update (November 26, 19:00): Red Dead Redemption 2 Online will be available in beta form from November 27 for players who bought the Ultimate Edition, before being rolled out slowly to players who played the game in between certain dates and going fully public on Friday, November 30.
Original Story
Some eagle-eyed players spotted a few new trophies popping up in Red Dead Redemption 2’s trophy list over the weekend and it’s led to suggestions that the online mode for Rockstar’s epic western could be ready in the near future (via Daily Star).
The story came about after players spotted an online trophy for the game jump from 0% achieved to 0.01%. As Comicbook.com rightly suggests, this activity is most like going to be from developers and testers based within Rockstar and possibly a small number of journalists who’ve been given a bit of time with the online mode.
But the news comes a little out of the blue; Rockstar had initially aimed to have the online mode ready for the end of November but has been pretty much silent on the matter since the game’s release back in October. But with the release of some trophy details and activity being shown for the online mode, it does suggest that Rockstar is edging towards rolling the online mode out for the wider public and just in time for the deadline they set themselves.
Meanwhile, Rockstar Intel released what appear to be leaks from the introductory mission from Red Dead 2 Online, with a series of pictures making their way into the wider world. This all comes off the back of the leaks concerning a possible battle royale mode coming to the Red Dead 2 Online mode way back at the start of the year.
As you might’ve expected, Red Dead Redemption 2 has had an extraordinary reception since its release in October, having broken all kinds of records for sales, and getting all-around excellent reviews from different outlets.
