Cue the sad piano music.
Developer Aardman and Bandai Namco released the launch trailer for their upcoming World War One drama, 11-11 Memories Retold and it’s a bit of a good’un.
The trailer shows off the focus of the game’s personalised take on the Great War as it considers the personal stories of Harry, a Canadian who joins the war as a photographer, and Kurt – the German soldier searching for his son. But for all the wonderfully, sad-paced monologues and music, the trailer doesn’t show off the part where you get to play as a cat – and there’s no excuse for that.
11-11 Memories Retold is out today for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We got to play a bit of it a while ago and while the game’s story is an interesting one, boats the voice acting of Elijah Wood and Sebastian Koch, and the design is pretty unique, the gameplay itself veered towards being unnecessary filler at times.
