Roundhousing the news straight into your eyes.
Well, we’re assuming you’ve somehow managed to pull yourself away from Red Dead Redemption 2 this morning and for that, we thank you. But hey! Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that, so why not catch up with some of the stories that may have given you the slip this week with our handy weekly news roundup.
Resident Evil Collection coming to the Switch
Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Zero, the original Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 4 will all be heading to the Switch in 2019. Both Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 were originally Gamecube exclusives, before being ported over to the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Another thing we’re still waiting to find out is whether the cloud-based stream version of Resident Evil 7 – currently available in Japan only – will be available to the rest of the world in the future.
PS Plus November Games Announcement Delayed
It’s about the time of the month when PS Plus members would be finding out which games would be going for free in November, but seeing that the last Wednesday of October is the last day of the month, we’ll have to wait until next week to find out what we’ll be getting.
A leaked image of Sony’s website earlier this month suggests that we might already know what two of those games are, with images of Bulletstorm and Yakuza Kiwami appearing to be two of the titles included for next month. That still leaves us with a couple of other titles to find out about – and it could be the case that Sony changes the entire lineup to keep us on our feet – though that seems unlikely.
Steam Sale Dates Leaked
Kotaku has claimed that a developer has leaked the dates of the autumn and winter sales for Steam this year.
According to the site, the Autumn Sale will last a week, kicking off from November 21 to November 27. The Winter Sale will last for two weeks, starting on December 20 and running until January 3. The dates are similar to the dates in the past so the leak is pretty hard to argue with.
The Steam sales of the past have seen some huge reductions for some of the biggest games around as well as the indie classics, so if you’ve had your eye on a particular title, it’s might be worth hanging on until you pick it up.
And Finally… Santa Monica Studios gives Rockstar their blessing
We’ve seen a lot of love for games from developers and publishers that didn’t work on them lately, does anyone remember that tribute to Spider-Man from Santa Monica and Guerilla? Well, it seems like the God of War developers are at it again, this time showing how psyched they are to play Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2.
When you remembered to preload your copy of #RDR2 ahead of time.

Well, isn’t that a cheery note to end things on!
