Everyone’s a winner baby.

This year’s Golden Joystick Awards – the 36th of its kind – will be taking place on November 16 with voting opened up to you lovely lot later this month. The shortlist for this year’s awards will be announced on September 21, with over 20 categories to vote for, so it’s good that you’ll have until October 25 to vote.

Among the categories at the Golden Joysticks, we’ll see the return of the “Still Playing Award” as well as the “Best” co-op, competitive, and “Most Wanted” games of the year.

Returning as the host for the third year running will be Danny Wallace, who said that the recurring role as host was great as he, “won’t have to stay at home and pay for a party to celebrate the very best in gaming on my own, which is pointless and needlessly expensive. This has been a cracking year for gamers. Let’s find out who’s responsible and why.”

So, with the awards being held on November 16, be sure to keep an eye out for the shortlist on September 21. We’ll be sure to have it up here as soon as it goes live with more details on how you can vote.
