Warframes space ninjas are slicing their way on to the Nintendo Switch.

Awesome news for Nintendo Switch fans as mega-hit Warframe has been revealed to be getting a port to the Switch. Announced at the recent TennoLive event, publisher/developer Digital Extremes unveiled a partnership with Panic Button to convert the sci-fi co-op space ninja title for play on the Switch.

Developer Panic Button, who have recently headed the conversion of Doom, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, and Rocket League for the Switch have proven their pedigree with how they have previously optimised these great games.

Warframe is a very popular free-to-play cooperative third-person online action game set in an evolving sci-fi world. With more than 38 million registered players worldwide, even more, will now be able to experience the action via the Nintendo Switch.

Warframe gives players the chance to master the Warframe armour as the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors wielding blade and guns, who are awakened from centuries-old cryo-sleep by the mysterious guide, Lotus, to restore order throughout the Solar System.
