Sony continued their E3 conference by giving us a new gameplay trailer for Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man.
The trailer shows off a lot of gameplay footage, as Spider-Man attempts to catch Electro, during a prison break on the Raft. We see him use walls and pillars to help him manoeuvre during close quarters combat against multiple enemies, showing off a number of combo attacks. And if an enemy gets out of range or tries to escape? Spidey reels them back in, using his webs to drag them back into range. It seems the webs can also be used to grab objects and use them as weapons.
We also get a peek at some of the other Marvel characters, with Scorpion, Rhino, and Vulture making an appearance.
After eight years behind the mask, Peter Parker is more experienced, confident, and masterful with his dynamic powers and abilities than ever before. However, balancing his dual life as Spider-Man proves difficult as he struggles with his own personal responsibilities and relationships while knowing that the safety and fate of New York City rests upon his shoulders.
Spider-Man is due for release on the PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018.
