Games for Change, the leading global advocate for the power of games as drivers of social impact, today announced the finalists for the 2018 Games for Change Awards. Finalists and award winners will be honored at the 15th Annual Games for Change Festival later this month.

Additionally, Katie Salen will be presented with the Games for Change Vanguard Award. This award honors here for her commitment to games with social impact in the greater community.

“Falling on the 15th year of the Games for Change Festival, this year’s Awards competition is proving to be our most inspiring yet,” said Susanna Pollack, President of Games for Change. “While our Vanguard Award Recipient has made a career out working at the intersection of games, design and learning, nominees for other awards are using digital games and entertainment engagement to help address a wide range of issues – from the literacy of a child refugee, to ecology and mental health. We’re proud to honor their work.”
