The much anticipated (sort of) Discovery Mode for Assassin’s Creed: Origins has arrived on PS4, Xbox One, and PC today. The mode will come at no extra cost for players, and can also be bought as a standalone experience on Uplay and Steam for £16. If you haven’t seen what the Discovery Mode has in store, take a look in the trailer below.
The mode removes all missions and enemies from the game, replacing them instead with something far more terrifying: guided museum tours (imagine ghost noises or something.) The mode will let players run around and explore what Ancient Egypt has to offer at their own pace or enjoy one of the 75 guided tours designed for the game. With commentary for The Great Sphinx, the mummification process, and much, much more, the Discovery Mode offers a far more laid back experience that might even see the Origins become a legitimate tool in the classroom – so throw away your inspirational speech teachers and just hope your school PC can handle Assassin’s Creed: Origins (spoiler: it probably can’t.)
