Publisher and developer Paradox Interactive announced that the Snowfall expansion for Cities: Skylines will be available for PC (Windows 10), PS4 and Xbox One on November 14. The add-on will be included in the game’s Season pass along with Cities: Skylines Premium Edition.
This expansion will bring new special winter maps challenging players to to keep the roads clear and the neighborhoods warm. Snowfall will be the first of many other expansions to come. Here’s what the Snowfall add-on entails:
- Rain and fog for existing maps along with a Winter map with snow and new challenges: snowplows, road maintenance, and more
- New public transit options, such as street trams and easier management of existing lines
- Cold weather increases demands for electricity, unless new heat systems are in place
Players who decide to buy the Snowfall expansion as a standalone will need to cough up $12.99 (or it’s local equivalent) on November 14. Players with too much money to burn can pick up the Season pass for $39,99 (or it’s local equivalent) or pick up Cities: Skylines Premium Edition for $69.99 (or it’s local equivalent)
The aforementioned Season pass (and Premium edition) will include seven new add-ons:
- Snowfall
- Natural Disasters
- Mass Transit
- High Tech Buildings (content creator pack)
- Art Deco (content creator pack)
- Relaxation Station
- Rock City Radio
