We’re just days away from the season premiere of Batman: The Enemy Within, the second season of Batman: The Telltale series. To celebrate, Telltale Games, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and DC Entertainment have dropped their official launch trailer.
Different from the announcement trailer shown back at SDCC. We see Amanda Waller taking command of the situation as well as brand new look for The Riddler.
Gone is his fluorescent green attire. We see Edward (Nigma, The Riddler) donning a new ‘darker’ look, one that’s reminiscent of a certain vigilante in Star City. It also seems as though his personality mirrors his new threads. The traps and puzzles that have been left around the city, look more like torture devices – similar to those used in the Saw films.
Alongside, Waller, Nigma, and Wayne we also get our first look at the infamous John Doe (drum roll please… The Joker) who made an appearance in the latter end of season one. This time, he’s calling in that ‘favour’ Bruce owes him. I guess we’ll find out more about this as the season processes.
Being a fan of DC Comics and more importantly, Batman in general – I love what Telltale Games are doing here. The story told in season one laid out such a solid foundation for Telltale’s version of Batman – something that has never been explored in the comics. It’s fresh and exciting and I can’t wait to see where it leads.
