FIFA Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Kick Off and Local Seasons are all back, making it the deepest portable game ever from EA Sports FIFA. For fans of Ultimate Team, you can take part in Squad Building Challenges, Online and Offline Seasons, Tournaments, and Draft to your heart’s content, along with live campaigns connective to the football season’s narrative. You also have the Transfer Market, and more Ultimate Team features that will be announced very soon.
“FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch is the best FIFA you can take with you anywhere, play anytime and with anyone,” said Producer, Andrei Lăzărescu. “We’re delivering the immersive and authentic experience that fans expect from FIFA, while leveraging innovative ways to play both at home and on the go with Nintendo Switch.”
FIFA 18 takes advantage of the Switch’s portability, meaning you can play the game in docked, handheld, or tabletop mode, as well as utilising local multiplayer connection for Local Seasons. If you want to play using the handheld, dual Joy-Con, single Joy-Con, or Pro Controller, they’ve got you covered; there’s multiple control schemes enabled, so players can pick and choose what works best for them.
Tech-wise, this is the most advanced FIFA yet; 1080p resolution when docked, and 720p on handheld. Thanks to new Physically Based Player Rendering, player avatars are more realistic than ever, giving gamers immersive, 3D environments that bring the pitch to life. You can also take part in Local Seasons across two Switch consoles, as well as Kick-Off mode, Career, Online Seasons, Tournaments, Women’s International Cup, and Skill Games; with hours and hours of gorgeous gameplay, you’ll be totally spoiled for choice.
FIFA 18 is being developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on September 29, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch.
