Ubisoft are releasing two new tie in novels to correspond with the new Assassin’s Creed movie:
The first one is “Assassin’s Creed: The Official Film Tie-In,” which looks to be following the plot of the movie: Callum Lynch experiences the memories of his ancient ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain, after discovering he’s linked to the mysterious group known as the Assassins. With his incredible knowledge and skills, he’s training to take down the oppressive, modern day Templars. This one’ll be available at the end of the year, courtesy of Random House.
The second one is “Assassin’s Creed Into the Animus – Official Movie Artbook.” This one’s showing off how they actually made the movie, like the designs of fifteenth-century Spain, and the challenge of recreating iconic characters and places, such as Abstergo Industries, in a somewhat unexplored medium for video games. It’s filled to the brim with exclusive artwork, unit photography, parkour choreography, and interviews with the costumers, set designers and stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. This one, too, is slated for the end of the year, but is from Titan Books, instead.
Assassin’s Creed: The Movie will be available in theatres worldwide on December 21, 2016.
