In a lovely turn of events, Iron Fish have announced their partnership with the WDC – Whale and Dolphin Conservation!
A portion of all Iron Fish’s sales will go towards the charity, to help support their worldwide efforts to protect whales, dolphins and oceans. Creator Dean Edwards (a lover of all animals with a special affinity for marine biology) said that “I am honoured to have this opportunity to support WDC and the extremely valuable work they do around the globe for our beloved marine mammals and oceans.”
WDC CEO, Chris Butler-Stroud, is also excited about the partnership: “We are extremely grateful to Dean and all the team at Beefjack for the support that they are giving to WDC. Their generosity and commitment to the welfare of whales and dolphins will help us continue with vital projects and campaigns and to help create a world where each individual is safe and free. We also welcome a game that opens up the mysterious world of the deeper oceans to new generations. Iron Fish demonstrates that games have the power to transport us into a challenging and fascinating world, and make us want to discover more about the incredible creatures and environments that make up this remarkable planet.”
Members of the WDC team went to the the Iron Fish community day on August 11 to announce the partnership, at the Loading Bar in Dalston, and were thrilled to meet the developers in person for the first time.
Whilst Iron Fish doesn’t have a release date yet, it sounds intriguing: a psychological thriller that provides expansive and intriguing environments as you discover the horrors of the deep.
