So the Chuckle Brothers are essentially two of the greatest men who have ever lived- so Io-Interactive and Realm Pictures recently invited them to take part in a real life Hitman experience: hilarity ensues.

A select group of people were invited to become the handlers of Agent 47 from Hitman; using CCTV feeds, a direct line to Agent 47 and voice actor David Bateson, they would be able to control the movements of the agent while they attempt to complete their task in a real life setting. The Chuckle Brothers, being the historic legends that they are, were naturally invited to carry out this task.

“The objective was to try and see if it was possible to create the feeling of a real life Hitman game experience for the participants,” said Marc Skouborg, Brand Marketing Director at Io-Interactive. “Realm Pictures went above and beyond in their efforts and we’ve been completely blown away by the detail and how well they managed to capture the essence of the game, which is all about freedom of approach. It’s simply fantastic.”

And he isn’t wrong- watching Paul and Barry ask the agent to place an unconscious man in a burning shed is wonderful, not to mention when Paul Chuckle becomes somewhat fixated with the idea of Agent 47 hitting an innocent decorator despite the fact she’d already left the room after being fired from her job.

Speaking as someone who isn’t a huge fan of the Hitman series, this is some of the best marketing I’ve seen for a game in a long time. You can see how the life-like Hitman experience was created here.

Hitman launched on April 11 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
