In this latest One Hour Tour episode, we take a look at Rise of the Tomb Raider, which has been our for a few months on Xbox One, but just arrived on the PC in the last week. Our look starts us from the very beginning of the game, as we climb through the Siberian mountains, flashback to the Syrian desert, take a side detour to the Croft Mansion and finish up surviving the frigid Siberian cold at night. We get to see the basic controls, some gunfights and the upgrade system along with some of the collectible locations in the first two areas of the game.
It should be noted that we used the Windows Marketplace version of the game. You can buy the game through Steam or the Windows Marketplace, with the primary difference being Xbox Achievements and Windows Game Bar integration vs Steam integration and Steam Achievements. I would assume they both play the same. We also ran Rise of the Tomb Raider at 1920×1080 with all graphical options turned on to full for the duration of the video.
The One Hour Tour series is our chance to go hands on with games as they are being released or before release to give you, the player a chance to see if the game is worth your hard earned cash. If you have a game you would like to see a One Hour Tour for, let us know on Twitter via @ggsgamer.
