If you’ve never seen a Penny Farthing bicycle before then, my, are you about to find out what one looks like.

“Penny farthings are certainly not the easiest things to ride, but we really wanted to find out just how difficult it would be to navigate using one of Victorian London’s most iconic transportation methods,” said Jon Maguire, Penny Farthing commuter. “It’s certainly not something I’d aim to do every day or recommend for others to do, given London’s volume of traffic and general hustle and bustle, yet I made it to my destination in one piece and it’s undoubtedly an exciting way to experience the capital.”

… Am I the only one feeling that the people doing promo for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate have far too much time on their hands?

Lest we all forget, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is coming out on PS4 as well as Xbox One on October 23 (tomorrow) and November 19 for PC. Moreover, if such things matter to you, the game has been received fairly well according to Metacritic. IGN notes that the game isn’t marred by the same technical faults that plagued Unity and praises some of the silliness within the quests- many of which involve Charles Dickens and the occult. Gamespot writes that the two leads, Evie and Jacob Frye, are ”deeply likeable and relatable”. Killscreen appears to be saddened that Evie’s diaries, in-game, don’t feature more self-searching. Videogamer details the finickiness of the game’s controls as well as difficulties with responsiveness and lag. Generally, the environment and the grapple gun have been singled out as good points and the game’s final fight as a low one.

You can read our (Dan’s) review of the game here. He urges Ubisoft to spend more time working on the next title. Not going to argue there.
