It appears that Syndicate will address the social issues that arose as a direct result of the Industrial Revolution. For instance, there’s a focus on worker’s rights- what with factory conditions often being horrific during that time period. You can tell that Ubisoft will be exploring these themes because some of your enemies are helpfully labeled ”The Exploitative Industrialist” and ”The Greedy Tycoon”. Similarly, the problems with the lax standards in medicine during the Victorian era, will be featured (”The Negligent Doctor”, ”The Mad Scientist”).
You’ll also be able to stab people with a cane-sword. This is not news, but it remains exciting.
