And one more title gets the remastered treatment for this generation of remastered!

Behemoth announced recently that they will bring their seven year old game to Microsoft’s current console. Dubbed Castle Crashers Remastered, or CCR, it will release next week, September 9th in North America while other regions will get the game once the rating has been approved. This port will include a few upgraded features:

  • New multiplayer mini-game called Back Off Barbarian
  • Five times larger texture sizes than the original
  • 60 frames per second
  • Performance updates, gameplay tweaks
  • Online multiplayer performance updates
  • Ability to find games easier and quicker online

And at this point, I know what you’re asking yourself: How much? Well the game will cost $14,99 for newcomers, while current owners of the Xbox 360 version will be able to download it for free until September 20th. Current owners must have an Xbox Live Gold Membership active to enjoy this free download. From September 21st and moving forward, the game will cost $5 for current or previous owners of the game.

For those who will upgrade but do not wish to start over, you will be able to transfer your Xbox 360 save over to the Xbox One and pick up right where you left off once the full Backward Compatibility update kicks in this Fall.
