Celebrate Sonic’s birthday with a return to the classic Sonic style in an endless runner that harkens back to the platform era of the Mega Drive/Genesis! First launched in Japan in February, Sonic Runners will be available this Thursday, June 25 as a free download for iOS and Android devices.
The 2D side-scrolling infinite runner is the first free-to-play (F2P) title created exclusively for mobile by the renowned Sonic Team. Featuring Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, players race through a challenging endless world where they must navigate the lightning-fast environment to collect rings and gems, all while avoiding enemies from all directions. Hardcore gamers and fans of the classic Mega Drive days will immediately recognize the iconic Sonic in his retro-inspired 16-bit environment.
Sonic Runners will be available worldwide (excluding China and Panama) for iOS and Android mobile devices this Thursday, June 25.
