Over the weekend, the creator of Shenmue, Yu Suzuki, was posting puzzling pictures of him walking around E3. Which brought up a lot of speculation and rumors. Well wonder no more!
During Sony’s press conference, it was revealed that a Kickstarter Campaign was being launched in order to have Shenmue III made. Not even an hour into it and as of this writing, the campaign had reached close to $540 000 of its $2 000 000 target.
For years fans have been pushing Sega to give the franchise to Suzuki to allow him to finish Ryo’s story. Well now fans have gotten their wish thanks to the Kickstarter Campaign.
If, or should I say when, the campaign reaches its goal, Shenmue III will release on PC and PS4; its current “target” release is December 2017.
