UPDATE 2: Unfortunately we have some bad news. It appears that the screens and video footage originated from a fan-made project on the Unreal Engine. This video, as spotted by by the folks over at GamesRadar, has the full goods.

In the description, Guillermo Moreno leaves the following message:

First of all, we apologize for giving you hopes to see Medievil and Sir Dan Fortesque in PS4, we didn´t try to piss nobody off or to make neogaf or other gaming sites our victims. We can´t deny that we have fun making it, but it was made out of love for this and other characters from great franchises. We try to catch Sony´s attention and make them understand that lots of people loves this old IPs, and we couldn´t imagine that the response will be so overwhelming. Take this as a wake up call and a mere and humble request to bring them back.

Back to the wishing well, folks!

UPDATE: Another clip has sneaked out. This one’s a bit shorter, showing Sir Daniel on a short stroll with cemetery gates in view.

Take this with a pinch of salt for now, people. We’ll see if we can get this confirmed… but for now treat this as speculation and rumour.

A video has made an appearance via Twitter regarding the possible leak of a short 2-second video depicting Sir Daniel Fortesque of MediEvil fame in a rather new-gen look.

Here’s the link to the video, showing the good knight taking a short stroll across a bridge.

There’s also a screenshot that was tweeted:

MediEvil was a classic back in the days of the PlayStation 1. It saw two games on the console, and a reimagining of the original game called MediEvil: Resurrection which was released on the PSP.

Please remember that this is currently speculation until we receive some more solid information on the subject. If this develops, we’ll let you know.
