Urban legend in London currently postulates that the lead actor* for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie lies broken in a crumpled heap in the cellar of a gaming bar in North-East London.
Perhaps that’s why Fox has pushed back the release of the movie to December 2016 to allow for a suitable recovery.

As noted by the Hollywood Reporter, Fox have recently published a list of releases for 2016 and 2017. In this list, the Assassin’s Creed movie has been penned for release on December 21 2016. This places the movie a week behind the release of the first spin-off film from the Star Wars franchise.
The film will star Michael Fassbender and is being directed by Justin Kurzel. To date, very little is known about the project, however with a date fully in sight we might expect to see some hints about what to expect in the hopefully not-too-distant future.
