It’s been a long time coming, but Sony’s entry into the VR scene is finally scheduled in for a full release in most of Europe.
We knew for a while that it’ll be coming in October, but the first wave of countries in Europe (and beyond) that will be able to pick up PlayStation VR on October 13 this year.
The first countries that’ll be able to pick up the VR headset on that date are:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
As for the pricing, the base model will set you back €399 or £349. As I understand, that’ll be just the VR headset and its associated cabling. The PS Camera and Move controllers should be available either separately or part of a bundle.
Day One launch games from Sony are:
- Rigs – €59.99 / £49.99
- VR Worlds – €39.99 / £29.99
- Until Dawn: Rush of Blood – €19.99 / £15.99
- Super Stardust – €19.99 / £15.99
- Hustle Kings – €19.99 / £15.99
- Tumble VR – €9.99
Expect several third parties to also come in with some VR offerings (Resident Evil 7 and Final Fantasy XV for example are said to have some VR goodies inside)
Excited? You should be!
