It’s that time of the year folks! The video games industry prepares to glam up and celebrate everything that’s awesome about gaming in a very similar affair to its TV and Film counterparts.

BAFTA has been very active over the past several years in the world of gaming, with the Young Game Designers contest among its key initiatives in promoting the trade.

Now, attention turns to celebrating the greatest games of the past year and honouring those who have excelled. Without further ado, below is the list of nominees for this year’s awards!

Top of the nominees list is Alien: Isolation with six  nominations, including Best Game. Far Cry 4 follows quickly behind with five nominations and those with four nominations are 80 Days, Destiny, Mario Kart 8 and Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor.
